Vese's Wedding

Having a blast at the reception!!

Bridee and Groom

Cheesin for the camera

What a happy day

What a fun weekend we had! We headed up to Salt Lake Friday morning and made it in time for a beautiful wedding in the Salt Lake temple. The bride and groom looked SO happy which made it even more fun! Then on Saturday we went to a reception that was full of dancing, food, and plenty of talking! The food was incredible, as are most polynesian weddings...and it was so good to meet more of Misi's family. The baby did pretty dang good...but was sick of sitting in her car-seat. She threw a couple fits on the way home, so it got kind of frustrating but thank goodness we made it back safely!

ATTENTION ALL K-6 TEACHERS

Are you like most teachers trying to find ideas for Literacy Works Stations (LWS) a.k.a 'centers'? I am so excited to say you no longer need to worry!! I am working for a company called EMPOWER and they have finally finished the K-6 LWS's! They are hot off the press and you do not want to miss out on the opportunity of having these in your classroom. The LWS's have over 200 different stations giving them hands-on interaction and MORE!! Trying to come up with center ideas is OVER, the work is already done! For more information you can visit the main web-site by cicking here or sending me a friendly message!

6 Months

Yes, time does truly fly. Palo had her 6 months check-up yesterday and she is 19lbs 5oz and 27 inches long! She's definitely a big girl...but gosh we can't get enough of her! She gets more personality everyday, and seems to be trying new foods everyday (we feed her pretty much everything we eat!) She still loves to sit and play with her toys, be held, scream, and be around little kids! She is full of energy and always keeps me going. Here is Palo after her appointment...she had shots again so she still wasn't too happy!

Family Reunion

Yummy toes

This is what Palo does when she gets in her chair now...maybe she wants to be a gymnist?
Baby sleeping, she just looks huge...
She LOVES her toes, like most babies, she eats them, too!
Such a smiley girl....she can sit up on her own now!!We just got back from a 3day weekend/family reunion. We went to my parents cabin with our cousins the 'Whipples'. It ended up being a lot of fun! We ate a TON of food, played cards, had a paint ball tourney, and enjoyed the cool weather. Best part of all we forgot to take pictures! I know others were taking pics but I didn't get any 0n my camera!
Palo did really good this weekend. Despite her still not sleeping very well, she loved all the attention and having so many cousins to play with her. Once the weekend was over she was very happy to be home!
Palo is also waving...thanks to her auntie kel who taught her....she has the wave down!
This is palo reaching for her toys again...one of these days she may fall out!

Wednesday night I talked mykelle into running the Chelsi 5k run. It started at 11pm and we were definitely ready for bed before it even started. It ended up being a lot of fun! I ran it in 25 minutes and even won a prize at the end! hahaha Thank to myk for running with me (even if it was only half way lol)

Final Post :) collage warning

Now to update on our lives :) Since we do so much...not really! Palo is usually the biggest entertainment and most exciting part of our lives so we mostly talk about her. For the most part, most of our hot summer days are spent at the pool! And thank goodness Palo LOVES the water. As soon as she sets foot in the water she starts jumping away. We also got a camera so we sure love taking pictures now. There are a lot of random pics of us and the baby....
Did we metion that she loves to eat hahaha.....I know, it shows
This is misi's older brother and his family. We were saying goodbye before they moved to Hawaii! We miss them already!Palo's new favorite thing...her bouncer! She loves to bounce now which means our arms are tired and sore.

Fourth of July

We had a fun fourth this year! We headed up to the cabin Thursday night with the Yocums for dinner and then just to hang out. The following day we woke up and had breakfast, and then headed for a hike. We didn't really know that we were going to hike through thick trees and brush. Thankfully my dad knows the mountain like 'the back of his hand!' The baby came with us and ended up sleeping the whole way!
Saturday morning we did the Angels Landing hike in Zion's. It was a beautiful hike and ended up being a lot of fun. I carried the baby the entire way, except for the last 1/2 mile where you have to hold onto chains...it was Misi's first time, however, and he was pretty excited about it! Later that night we all headed to the city park and watched the fireworks. They were a lot of fun this year! By the end of the night we were all exhausted and poor Palo had had enough. She was such a trooper all weekend though. Couldn't ask for a better baby.

Idaho

So, the weekend before Father's Day (sorry to mix up the posts) we headed up to Idaho on a 7 1/2 hour journey to Rexburg to watch Misi play. It was a long ride but we endured it...thankfully Misi and his team had such a fun game that it made the whole trip worth it. Except for the ride home...we ended up driving through the night and didn't get home until 8 in the morning. That was awful and I'll never do that again.
This is how we got Palo to Idaho, it took all the toys I had!!

Father's Day

Wow, I love playing catch-up....so I'll start with Father's Day! We had a pretty good fathers day this year, and since in was Misi's first one it's definitely blog worthy! We got to spend a fun sunday afternoon at uncle Dennis's home with the Frei family. It was a lot of fun and the food was GREAT!! Can't beat steak and shrimp. It was neat to spend time with all the fathers that are involved in my life...great grandpa frei, my dad, and misi. I can't even begin to thank them enough for all they have done for me. Here are some groovey pics of the event!

4 months

We had the babies 4 month appointment yesterday and shes 16lbs 6oz, 25in long. So pretty much she's huge! But we still think she's perfect. She is eating cereal with applesauce, bananas, and all that good stuff...and she loves it. She LOVES to be outside. She cries everytime we walk back in the house. Palo smiles a lot and is starting to giggle quite a bit. She is such a blessing in our lives, we can't get enough! It's crazy how fast they grow up and we are trying to enjoy every minute of her!She loves her money!

This is how I found the baby and Misi one day...fast asleep. It also gives you a good shot of all her fun rolls!

so behind!!

i do apologize for slacking at blogging. It doesn't help that we don't have the internet or even a computer so I have a legit excuse, right? Well, what have we been up to? To be quite honest, not a whole lot! Most of our days are spent at home with the baby, or going to grandma's house, baseball/football games, that kinda stuff. Misi has been playing for the St. G Blitz which has been fun to watch him play again. He enjoys playing with some of his old buddies from Dixie which makes it more exciting. I mostly stay at home with Palo-I don't get to leave a whole lot cuz Misi takes our one car to work haha....the joys have one vehicle but sheesh we make it work! Our little/big Palo is growing right up! She's becomming quite the character with a bit of attitude (wonder where that comes from?!) She is talking a lot more, loves to stand on her feet, play with her daddy, eat, sleep, and be outside! She's rolled over a few times but is still getting it all figured out. We even got her to laugh a few days ago, which was definitely a high-light of our night. We sure love our little dolly!!
We did celebrate a couple birthdays in my family. Kameron's on May 5th, Kallan May 7th, Tiff's on the 10'th! We sure love all of them and hope they have/had super birthdays! Mothers Day is tomorrow and I just have to say I have one of the BESTMother's in the world! She is such a trooper and is always going the 2nd mile for anyone and everyone. She puts up with so much, having raised 7 kids I don't know how she does it every day! I want her to know that I love her very much and am SO grateful for all she's done for me. I'm also very blessed to have so many amazing grandmothers! They all are unique and wonderful in their own way and I'm so grateful for them! Being a mother isn't always the easiest and I am thankful for good grandmas, aunts, and my mom for being good examples on what a mother should be!
A HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL Mommy's and future mommy's!!
One last shout out: Misi and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary on Monday! Holy crap, I can't believe we made it 2 years...that's awesome. He is one of the most incredible, loveable, huggable, compassionate, sincere, and patient person I have ever met. I LOVE him so much and want him to know this has been the best 2 years of my life. Just a quick run through of what we've been through! Honeymoon in Kona, Hawaii, 22 hour drive to Texas in the Volvo, football games at Kyle Field WHOOP, mesquito bites, living in saddleHood, college station, and the ghetto in Bryan, hangin/workin out at the REC, finishing your BA degree, renting movies, driving 24 hours back to Utah in seperate cars...me 7 1/2 months pregnant and having one car with out a radio or music, having baby Palo, getting our first apartment together, and laughing at eachothers jokes! These are only a few of the adventures we've been through and how lucky I have to have shared them with Misi! I am so lucky to have someone like Mis who does everything for me! Happy Anniversary to us haha.
well, sorry for the long post I just had to try and get everything out before I don't see another computer! Here are a few pics of the babe! We are professional photo takers so watch out! lol we actually take everything on our phones because we don't own a camera yet..I know, SO bad. But you will see the baby is a chubbster! Her cheeks are so fun to kiss!!

Misi after his game with Gene and Gene's brother
Bath time in the sink! Gotta love the rolls!
Random photos.. 2-3 months old (they were all taken from my phone)
Every Wednesday, I go to my Grandma Virginia's to eat lunch, visit and do my laundry. I went downstairs to get my laundry and put the baby in the basket so I could carry both her and the basket upstairs, and she fell asleep along the way! Too funny!
More random pics!

Getting SO Big

Palo is getting SO big on us; it's going too fast! She was 9lb 12oz at her one month appointment and still healthy as can be! She is starting so smile at us, as well as, talking but we haven't quite got her to laugh! Either way we love her to death and enjoy every second with her. The pictures at the top are some we've taken this month. Uncle Wesley babysat Palo so I could go play basketball one night so I had to take a pic of that event. The bottom right corner is one with Misi and Palo...it was very cute and they defintely look like eachother. There is one with Palo in the laundry basket...my dad was holding her and we all went up stairs for a couple minutes. When we came back down that's how we found the baby. My dad said it looked comfortable so he layed her in there! Too funny! Other than the baby we haven't been up to too much. Misi is still working and I've been able to stay at home everyday. I do get to go to my Grandma Virginia's once a week and spend time with her and my aunts. It's been so much fun getting to know them more! We are heading to California next weekend with my family for our spring break vacation. I wish I had some good stories, too. I will get better at posting more of our funny moments and make our blog more interesting to read!

Baby Blessing

We were so lucky to be able to bless Palo on March 1, 2009! What an incredible day we had. Misi did such an amazing job-I know that Palo is very lucky to have him for a dad! It was such a neat spirit to have blessed her-and what support we had! Misi had his family from California, Ogden, Hawaii, and Texas come to the blessing. It was so fun to meet his family from California for the first time and we were lucky to have their support! It's always a blast when Misi and his brothers get together...there is always so much laughter! I had most of my family there as well. Ginger and Murray came into town which was fun, and my grandparents that live here all supported us!! We feel so blessed to have such a supportive family and grateful to everyone who supported us.
