Thanks to my neighbor friend, I now have a few fun things to do to keep Palo busy! Painting the shower is our latest...and her daddy decided to step up and paint, too...which resulted in him painting on Palo, and vice versa. Turned out to be pretty fun for the two of them! Here are a few 13 month facts about our little sissy.

-BUSY...inside, outside, always on the go.

-She drinks out of a cup on her own, and eats with a fork or spoon alone (messy but she loves it)

-She now says ICE, TOES, SHOES, PALO, THANK YOU, NO, and a few others I can't remember. She still wishes she could talk and is mumbling ALL the time.

-Loves to be outside, playing in the dirt and eating rocks!

-Her walking is now running.

-She's a copy cat! She likes to do what mom and dad are doing.

-Has a shoe fetish. Is always trying on my shoes, as well as her own.

-Still not sleeping through the night..yes it's killing me:)

Overall she's just growing up WAY too fast. I can't believe how time fly's! We sure love being with Palo and have loved watching her learn and grow!

cold days

With the days being cold I haven't felt like doing a whole lot! We mostly sit inside watching movies, trying to stay warm! I'm looking forward to next week for the 70 degree weather!! Our smarty pants Palo has done an amazing job of keeping me entertained. I am amazed at her age! She is SOO smart and is catching onto things very quickly. She has started singing to herself, signing for things aLL the time, running through the house, saying her name and thank you and a few other words, shaking her booty when dancing, and pretty much just being cute ALL the time...and I have to mention her sleeping at night has done a 360!! She has started sleeping MUCH better at night, whew, it's about time! Misi's birthday is also coming up in a couple weeks...I'm looking for some fun birthday ideas if anyone has any...I wanna do something good for him for once haha :)

I also want to shout out to my cousin Kalee. She plays basketball for U of U and is one amazing player! She has definitely made an impression on lady's basketball and will go down as a legend. We were privileged to watch her play last weekend and couldn't be any more proud of her!

Spring is almost here! Yahoo for being able to play outside! Palo LOVES being outside so we shouldn't have any complaints about being in the sun. Our little sissy is growing up and is still a sassy/smart girl. A few new traits:

-She can say her name

-She says thank you all the time

-Her favorite sign is please, she gets just about anything by signing it..so hard to resist!

-She loves dolls and stuffed animals and gets a really high voice when she see's them..is their little mommy

-She's the boss around our house now

-Still a good eater, but hasn't slept through the night yet!

-She loves wrestling her uncles

-Throws a ball..and will spike at a volleyball hehe

-Still loves music and will dance on cue

-Is slowly moving to a size 5 diaper!

-Will get a big smile and cheese for the camera

-She is wrapped around her parents finger and we can't get enough!!

Good times!

Here we are! We've had quite a busy couple of weeks! Last Wednesday we had to take Palo into the ER because she wasn't breathing very well. Her pulse was in the low 60's pushing into the 5o's! It was quite scary, but with breathing treatments, anti-biotic's, and a lot of sit and hold time, Palo is finally starting to recover! She is such a strong little bug and we couldn't be any happier she's doing so well! As for me, I am exhausted!! I haven't slept in--I don't even know how long! But, I can't complain...I feel very blessed.

Yesterday, while at my moms...we had to come up with ways to keep Palo busy. She seems to get bored very easy and has to go go go. So, I had my brothers Britt & Kam pull her around the house on a blanket. She loved it. We were cracking up because Kam would say, "Palo, if you're having fun, smile." And without hesitation she'd get the biggest grin on her face!

We are on the countdown for Palo's first birthday! I can't believe it's almost here! Now I just hope I can get this first birthday party into gear...it's turning out to be a bit of preparation, well worth it of course.

She is sure smart, too! She LOVES books, she has started to sign back, and seems to have something new to say everyday.

Lately Palo has been into feeding herself; she always has to hold her own spoon/fork. The other day we decided to let her have some pudding...mmmm, quite obvious it would cause a mess but it was sure funny! She enjoyed every minute!

First time on Santa's lap. She actually did SO good, which is surprising because she's not too fond of strangers!

It still is hard to believe we are starting off another year! Where does time go?? I am, however, very excited to start off fresh with new year resolutions, and excited to experience another year of life! This month our baby girl is turning ONE! SO scary if you ask me...scary because I don't want her to grow up! I have a hard time thinking about it, but at the same time I'm preparing myself, knowing I can't stop time :) For now, I try to soak in every moment and enjoy Palo as much as I can.

Palo is a true character. I have to admit, she is a bit sassy and may even have a temper, which must come from my side. From what my parents tell me, I had an attitude. BUT...it can be pretty stinkin' funny!

P.S. we had an awesome Christmas. It was very simple and involved a lot of family. Palo seemed to enjoy the wrapping paper and loved playing with the kids! Also, my mom posted all of the pics of Christmas on her blog!

Oh dear!

Ok, so here I am. I figured it was about time that I updated my blog, since our little one isn't getting any smaller. We have been pretty busy from volleyball nights, flag football, basketball games, and just being with family. Our little Palo is getting SO big, and I have a LOT to update about her!

-she is WALKING! She started walking about a month ago, and lets just say she LOVES it! However, she has now officially started to 'run'. it's not that fast yet, but she's sure enjoying running away from all her uncles!

-She says mama, dadda, 'WOW' (which she picked up from looking at Christmas lights) BA for ball, and BA for book. She talks a lot but it is a lot of gibber.

-Palo is learning how to use a fork

-Mamma's helper around the house: sweeping, laundry, making any kind of mess!

-She can open pens, chap stick, and her favorite to open...my mascara...yes, it's everywhere!

I really could go on about palo!! She is VERY active and loves being around kids and family. Misi and I can't believe how fast she is growing up-there is never a dull moment and she is always doing something to make us smile!!

Here are a few random pictures of the baby...she is growing up so fast, we just can't believe it! Here are a few facts:

-Pulls herself up on the furniture, and walks along it

-Crawls all over

-LOVES little kids

-Likes my moms cat, but scared of the dogs

-HATES any vacuum

-Throws little tantrums when she gets mad...tightens up her body and fists (so funny)

-Has TWO teeth

-Loves to talk...and say dadda

-She likes tooth brushes, medicine vile's, nose suckers, tampons, and a wire whisk..anything unusual I guess.

-She loves tipping over baskets/buckets and pulling everything out!

Palo really is just one busy girl. She does something new everyday, we just can't get enough of her!

Oh how I love....

my teething baby! We officially have a tooth on it's way! (and I do believe there is one right next to it, it just hasn't come to the surface yet.) Palo has been a pretty good baby, most of the time. She's a little more fussy and does not want me to leave her sight. I have become quit exhausted these past few weeks! But she still couldn't make us happier! Two days ago, she started talking A LOT more. She now says baba, and dada...and some other jibber. But we do get her to say dada quite a bit! She is pulling/standing up on EVERYTHING. And I mean everything. She will start to crawl and after about a half a foot she will collapse and the just push backwards while on her belly. Not too far away and she will just take off!

Life has been treating us well lately! We have had quite a few ups and downs, but I couldn't be more grateful to have family close by and to be reminded daily to keep on similing!

I have more pics of Palo but can't find my camera..I'll put them up as soon as it is found!
